William Flanz is the Chairman and Senior Advisor of the Investment Committee of Fung Investment Management Ltd. He is also a member of the Investment and Portfolio Management Committees of Baring Private Equity Asia. While serving in his roles at Baring and Fung Investments, Bill also served as chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Minneapolis – based pension fund of Supervalu Corporation from 2005 through 2013.
 
William began his career with 19 years at Chase Manhattan Bank, where his last position was Area Director for the Asia Pacific area.  He left Chase in 1986 to co-found Prudential Asia and has been engaged in private equity ever since. William is a Trustee and Executive Council member of WWF-Hong Kong, a licensed glider pilot and an enthusiastic participant in a number of outdoor activities.  He earned his BA in Economics from New York University and MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan.
